Please add your "AMEN" to this prayer and petition, by writing a blog comment below!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A PRAYER TO ALMIGHTY GOD, and A PETITION TO SECRETARY OF DEFENSE ROBERT GATES Dear Sir: U.S. Navy Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt is being unjustly punished for praying in Jesusí name, for quoting Scripture passages in a military chapel, for voicing evangelical messages about Christ while in uniform. Chaplain Klingenschmitt courageously stood for what is right, and his stand was completely vindicated by Congress. I am calling on you to immediately exonerate him and allow him to continue his outstanding service as a Navy chaplain. Mr. Secretary, you must act! And fast! Otherwise Chaplain Klingenschmitt will be kicked out of the service by Jan. 31, ending an award-winning 15.5-year career. He will lose his pension, health care benefits and be evicted from military housing -- and our sailors will lose this faithful vicar of Christ. Yes, he was found guilty at a misdemeanor court-martial of disobeying a direct order, based on an unjust Navy policy -- Instruction 1730.7C -- that since has been repudiated and replaced. Yet though the new policy is the direct result of his righteous stand, Chaplain Klingenschmittís case isnít being "grandfathered" under this corrected policy. He is shown no mercy or forgiveness -- indeed he is being persecuted and retaliated against for his role in ending the unconstitutional policy he publicly exposed. That is wrong! He should be honored and rewarded for doing whatís right -- not dishonored, punished and impoverished. Certainly there must be a way for you and your office to absolve this faithful servant of such arbitrary and disproportionate retribution which is being selectively meted out because of his principled resistance to an unlawful, and now rejected, policy. Find it and take action! Thanks to Chaplain Klingenschmitt, all Navy and Air Force chaplains are free again to fulfill their mission, and pray publicly in Jesus' name! But must the freedom he purchased for others cost him everything? Exonerate Chaplain Klingenschmitt now! Respect for our Constitution, simple justice and faithful obedience to religious conscience demands no less! Exonerate Chaplain Klingenschmitt! //SIGNED// Dr. D. From 80-90 percent of Americans say they are Christians plus our Founding Fathers believed in the diety of our Lord. I humbly believe his speach was not wrong and do beseech you to reinstate U.S. Navy Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt to his position!

Please do not punish U.S. Navy Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt for mentioning the name of Jesus! Over 80% of the people are Christians who mention the name of Jesus very often

The separation clause within the Constitution was never meant to protect the Government from the Church but to protect the Church from the Government. Secularization of the Church is a prelude to Totalitarianism. One of the first things that Pre-Nazi Germany did was to bridle the church’s voice and to restrict them to the four-walls of the sanctuary. Today in America, there is an ominous parallel in our society to restrict the freedoms of expression of the church to foster tolerance of every wicked and immoral activity within this nation. God will not be mocked nor will a nation stand who god is not the Lord.

Please reinstate Chaplin Klingenschmitt to his position as Navy Chaplain. He has been exonerated by Congress, and there is not reason to terminate him from the Navy nor persecute him in this matter. Because what you are trying to do is just that, persecution. If you stand by now and do nothing to help him, be aware that sometime down the road the same persecution could affect you and cost you your career. Remember,we reap what we sow.
Amen, in Jesus Name I Pray.

I have received the email from Newsmax and certainly want to have Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt reinstated.
No Judge David Hamilton. I have emailed and or called my U.S. Senators.
Thanks,
Cynthia

There are three points of doctine which forms the foundation of all morality...the existence of God, the immortality of the human sould; and a future state of rewards and punishments. Suppose it possible for a man to disbelive either of these three articles of faith...that man will have no conscience. John Q. Adams

Exonerate Chaplain Klingenschmitt!

The NAVY IS WRONG. Chaplain Klingenschmitt should be free to say Jesus name wherever he is, whether in the Navy or outside the Navy, in a tent in the desert, or ANYWHERE.
His a Chaplain, for goodness sake.
We are talking FREEDOM here! Besides, that is his Mission.
When someone is in pain, he utters "Jesus."
Is the government or the Navy going to ban Jesus name in the Navy too?
EVERYONE should stand for Chaplain Klingenschmitt. EVERYONE
God bless you, Chaplain Klingenschmitt.
