Obama adds 5~100 new IRS agents.  (Help Abolish the IRS.)  

Yesterday The Wall Street Journal reported that President Obama’s budget is requesting an additional 5~100 IRS agents next year~ to wring further tax revenue from Americans.  His proposed budget gives the IRS a 9.4% raise in fiscal year 2012~ to $13.28 billion~ or a 5% increase in agency manpower to 100~537 agents~ spending $460 million more for tax enforcement than in 2010.  

But 55 Republican Congressmen led by Rep. Rob Woodall (R-GA) have introduced a shocking new bill to abolish the IRS forever~ and abolish the income tax entirely~ replacing it with a fair national sales tax.  H.R. 25 is the Fair Tax Act of 2011~ and its momentum is growing~ but it needs your support.

 This bill would eliminate all federal income taxes~ payroll taxes and the estate tax~ and replace them with a federal sales tax of 23% on the use or consumption of all goods~ properties and services. The Internal Revenue Service would be abolished (saving over 200 billion in collecting and processing costs) and replaced by an Excise Tax Bureau and a Sales Tax Bureau in the Department of the Treasury. 

Just imagine~ your April 15th tax deadline could be a relic of past history~ forever.  Simplify your life.  Take action.

The Fair Tax has gained support from leading conservatives such as Alan Keyes~ Mike Huckabee~ Neal Boortz~ as well as leading economic think- tanks.  Alan Keyes once said~ "Tyrannical taxation~ and excessive government spending and borrowing~ are not only threats to our economy — they erode the resource base of our freedom and our moral responsibility. The income tax is a twentieth-century socialist experiment that has failed. A national sales tax would also put the American citizen back in control of fiscal policy."

Neal Bootrz points out "In the last two years~ federal government spending has increased by 27%."  Obama and his socialist Democrats have said the best they can do is freeze spending.  Bootrz responded "Not a cut  … but a freeze? You know this is a crock and even I know it.  There is plenty of room to cut spending … huge cuts … but Democrats have a constituency to bribe — votes to buy — and that takes money."

Founding Father Alexander Hamilton wrote in Federalist Paper 21~ "It is a single advantage of taxes on articles of consumption [sales tax] that they contain in their own nature a security against excess…If duties are too high~ they lessen the consumption; the collection is eluded…This forms a complete barrier against any material oppression of the citizens by taxes of this class~ and is itself a natural limitation of the power of imposing them."

A national sales tax gives YOU the power over how much money you give to the government.  It allows people to give themselves a tax cut whenever they wish~ by altering and changing their spending. In effect it also takes away the Government’s credit card.

Governor and leading Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee went on record saying~ "It’s the best proposal that we ought to have because it’s flatter~ it’s fairer~ and it’s finite and its family friendly." Huckabee explains the tax will have a "Family Consumption Allowance" allowing legal residents to receive an allowance or advance tax rebate for the purchases of basic goods based on family size. (Illegal aliens would pay taxes every time they buy goods in America.)  This advance rebate for working families is known as a "prebate~" and is paid out every month~ and will be adjusted to inflation. This "prebate is meant to make the plan progressive and to not but a too harsh tax on the poverty."

In other words~ every poor family will get a monthly check to pay their sales taxes on items like groceries~ so nobody will go hungry because of increased food prices. 

And what of the effects would the Fair Tax have on the economy? The National Bureau of Economic Research~ chaired by Ben Bernanke with 18 Economic Nobel Prize board members~ has calculated that the GDP in the USA would increase almost 10.5% in the year after the Fair Tax goes into effect. 

The IRS has estimated that under the current income tax system~ as much as $5 trillion is held in off-shore "tax havens" costing America a minimum of $70 billion a year in lost tax revenue.  Alan Greenspan has stated if a Fair Tax is enacted that most of this money would be transferred back into US banks.  Businesses from around the world would flock to America~ generating millions of jobs and purchases that increase not only our GDP~ but the national tax revenue~ so we can pay off the national debt.

I say we take action.  Let’s get the government off our backs~ and out of our pockets.
