NBC Television Censors "Under God" from Pledge

In a sad display of anti-Christian censorship~ NBC television censored "under God" (twice) from the Pledge of Allegiance in their introduction to the U.S. Open Golf Championship. After offending millions of Americans (and proving they’re not smarter than a 5th grader) one sports announcer offered a weak apology that never acknowledged God~ or even what they did. We at The Pray In Jesus Name Project stand with millions of Americans who believe in God~ to demand a full investigation and detailed explanation by NBC~ with disciplinary action for the video producers of this segment~ or at least a public promise to never censor America’s religious expression again. We agree with Reverend Patrick Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition~ who demanded "that NBC give a full and detailed explanation into why they removed the phrase ‘under God.’ In other words~ what was the motivation of the network." No public explanation has been yet given.

A PETITION TO NBC PRESIDENT STEVE BURKE:

Dear Sirs:

We the undersigned respectfully petition you to please end the censorship of our American religious heritage~ and help honor the words "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance~ which words were sadly and intentionally removed and censored (twice) from a recent NBC broadcast before the U.S. Open.

We hold NBC President Steve Burke personally accountable for this intentional offense to millions of Americans~ and we request a full and detailed investigation~ explanation~ accountability~ and apology by the network leaders. By changing the words of the Pledge~ your producers have re-written history~ in the attempt to edit out all references to religion or God~ which our nation’s Founding Fathers honored in the Declaration of Independence ("endowed by our Creator") and the U.S. Constitution ("secure the Blessings of Liberty~" "in the year of our Lord").

The Pledge of Allegiance has included the words "under God" since 1954~ when President Eisenhower cited the words of President Abraham Lincoln who declared America "under God" as defining words that set the United States apart from other nations.

We also pray you help stop the censorship in the biased reporting of the opinionated MSNBC "News" network~ who has openly declared their biased agenda on repeated occasions by multiple show hosts. We agree with Reverend Patrick Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition~ who demanded "that NBC give a full and detailed explanation into why they removed the phrase ‘under God.’ In other words~ what was the motivation of the network." No public explanation has been yet given~ and the half-hearted apology of the announcer was insufficient.

We are one nation under God~ and we pray in Jesus’ name~ Amen.
