NBC Television Censors “Under God” from Pledge
In a sad display of anti-Christian censorship, NBC television censored “under God” (twice) from the Pledge of Allegiance in their introduction to the U.S. Open Golf Championship. After offending millions of Americans (and proving they’re not smarter than a 5th grader) one sports announcer offered a weak apology that never acknowledged God, or even what they did. Watch the video on the left (<–) and see for yourself.
We at The Pray In Jesus Name Project stand with millions of Americans who believe in God, to demand a full investigation and detailed explanation by NBC, with disciplinary action for the video producers of this segment, or at least a public promise to never censor America’s religious expression again. We agree with Reverend Patrick Mahoney of the Christian Defense Coalition, who demanded “that NBC give a full and detailed explanation into why they removed the phrase ‘under God.’ In other words, what was the motivation of the network.” No public explanation has been yet given.
