Let us pray. Almighty God, we praise you for a great victory in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, who ruled in a strongly worded opinion that Eastern Michigan University cannot expel a Christian psychology student who opposed homosexual sin. The court said, “a reasonable jury could conclude that [student Julea] Ward’s professors ejected her from the counseling program because of hostility toward her speech and faith.” From Luke 9:26, Julea was not ashamed to speak the truth of her faith in Jesus Christ, and for that she was vindicated as a great example for all students, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
