Let us pray. Almighty God, we pray that you would intervene on behalf of the U.S. Marine Corps, which is facing a potential lawsuit from atheist complainers if its leaders refuse to remove two memorial crosses from Camp Pendleton in California. We pray that you would give the base’s Commandant the courage to allow these crosses to remain where they have stood for almost 10 years, representing the “blessed hope” for the souls of fallen Marines (Titus 2:13). We thank you that no one can take this hope from them, in Jesus name, Amen.

Your Word says that “many live as enemies to the cross of Christ” (Phil. 3:18). We pray your love and mercy over those that have vandalized these memorial crosses in the past and those that continue to oppose Jesus, that they will be saved by His love, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your Word says, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Isa. 56:7). We ask especially that you would guard these sanctuaries of corporate prayer and worship from the Devil’s schemes to defile them. We pray that you would reveal the demonic spirits in the people proposing these ordinances, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Let us pray. Almighty God, we intercede on behalf of the Egyptian comedian Adel Imam who was found guilty of “offending Islam” by the Salafi Muslim leadership in Egypt, part of the Muslim Brotherhood who has risen to power after the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak. The Muslim people are now plagued and manipulated by fear, punishing both Christians and secularists too, so we pray that the nation of Islam would receive a powerful revelation of Jesus Christ’s perfect love, which “drives out fear” (1 John 4:18). Give them courage to receive Christ and to question their religious beliefs, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
