Let us pray. Almighty God, we are grieved that Charlotte-Mecklenburg NC Police Department Major John Diggs recently decided to censor police chaplains from praying in Jesus’ name. Your Word says, “I am the Lord, that is My name” (Isa. 42:8). We pray against the Devil’s scheme to inoculate the power of prayer by removing Jesus as the One through Whom our prayers are directed to God. We pray that religious freedom of speech would be restored, so all policemen will continue to receive the spiritual care that only Christ can offer, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
