Let us pray. Almighty God, we pray for the 900,000 people of Assam, India who recently became victims of severe flooding in their region, with 50,000 evacuated. Your Word says, “The name of the LORD is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Prov. 18:10). Despite the loss of possessions, we thank You for protecting so many human lives, and revealing Yourself during this tragedy. We pray that You would also help these people, including the many Christian missionaries in this area, to quickly rebuild stronger than ever, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
