Let us pray. Almighty God, we pray the Lakeland Florida city commission, under legal attack by an atheist group for praying in Jesus’ name before its public meetings, will be able to continue this longstanding tradition of invoking Your presence in their meetings. Your Word says, “Draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you” (Jam. 4:8). We pray You overrule the crazy decision by a federal judge that says prayers to Allah are non-sectarian, but prayers in Jesus’ name should be banned as too sectarian. God protect Christians’ freedom of speech, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
